OD & Company opened it's doors in 1991 with four employees in a 1,000 square feet space. We offered mainly hair services with massage and facials as a bonus! Since that time, we have continually grown. In 1995, the downstairs was remodeled to accommodate growth in the spa area.
We now host fourteen employees with seven cosmetologists, three massage therapists, three skin care specialists, two nail technicians, two receptionists and an invaluable cleaning person. Several of our employees are cross trained and wear many hats!
We welcome you to take advantage of our many services, whether it be in the salon or day spa... ENJOY!

Hi - I'm Odessa.
I opened OD & Company Salon and Day Spa in May, 1991.
Facing the empty nest syndrome, I started cosmetology school when my youngest child was a junior in high school. Going part time took almost two years to finish. I graduated in January 1991 from Cosmetology School and August of '91 from the Charlottesville School of Massage.
I furnished a room off the salon "in case" someone wanted a massage, facial or bodywork and started establishing a clientele in hair services!
Little did I know that in only two years I would be turning away SPA services! A decision had to be made - I referred my salon clientele to other cosmetologists and began to concentrate on the SPA.
Regardless of the fact that local businessmen laughed at a "SPA" in Elkton - we expanded again in 2005 for the third and last time! (for me)
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my four children, foster children and seven (ten) grandchildren. I love scrap booking and working in my flower beds!
As we continue to strive to offer all our customers a clean, relaxing, peaceful atmosphere at OD & Company we also say a big thank you to all our clientele for making us a big success! We are always adding new services so stay in touch!
Thank you Charlie, my husband, for believing in me and for being our maintenance engineer for FREE!

I have been with O.D. & Company since 1994. I come to you as a previous salon owner of seventeen years. I have been a hair designer since 1977. Of the many years that I have been in the hair industry, many changes have taken place. Trendy looks come and go but I am into the more refreshed and classy looks for the clientele. My work is important to me and is an example of me, the designer. My favorite area would be perm and cut, wash and blow dry or set.
I am married and have two children and two grandchildren. My favorite things to do are needlework, working in my yard, just being with family or relaxing with a good book!

Hair has always been a passion for me. I was born in 1971 and even as a young girl, I wanted to be a "Hairdresser".
I married a wonderful man in 1997. His name is Todd, and we have two sweet little guys named Draven and Gage. We also have a rotten dog named Rex! We currently reside in the town I grew up in... Elkton.
I have been in the beauty industry since 1990 and I love my career! I traveled to Phoenix, Arizona in 1999 after being chosen as a finalist by the International Cosmetology Expo from a field of 100 applicants to come and audition for a place on the four member artistic styling team known as NXT! While in Arizona I also attended a hair cutting class with world renowned educator, Yosh Toya. To keep my knowledge fresh and up-to-date with the latest styles and techniques I attend hair shows and classes at least twice a year. My areas of expertise are, but not limited to; hair cutting, hair coloring, special occasion styles and up-do's, as well as, make-up application and facial waxing. Braiding is another area in which I have much experience.
I enjoy pampering my clients and giving them special attention but most of all giving them what they want and making them look and feel their very best!

I have been with OD & Company since 1999. I am responsible for the behind the scenes work of making our busy salon a clean, healthy place to relax and enjoy. You will find OD & Company to be very clean and sanitary. Each stylist is required to maintain their own work station after each business day, I clean several times a week and do the heavier cleaning. Our customers often tell us that they appreciate our efforts to maintain a clean salon.
By using hospital grade disinfectants throughout the Salon and Day Spa, we can minimize the spread of many bacteria and viruses, thus keeping ourselves and our clients healthier.
I live in Grottoes with my husband, Mike, and our two sons, Michael and Tyler.

I started working at O.D. & Company as a receptionist in 1991, when the Hair Salon opened. I worked here for four years while completing my Chemistry degree at James Madison University. After completing my degree, I left to pursue my career in Chemistry. However, unforeseen circumstances have brought me back to O.D. & Company. I am very happy to be working here again.
My job includes doing weekly payroll, filing taxes, and writing correspondence. I do the majority of my work during the hours that the shop is closed to the public. I also fill in for receptionists when they need off.
I am married to Bobby and we have three teenagers. I enjoy watching them participate in the numerous activities that they are involved in. I also enjoy volunteering at the schools where my children attend.
